Our club nights are made for music lovers, but its Barefootin' that always has music fans coming back for more! This Friday the 11th (and every second Friday of the month after), DJ's Josh Pye, Adam Adam and Dave Le Moderne spin 60's R&B classics, hidden soul gems, forgotten mod and ska bangers and more. This night was made for fans of the music that time forgot. Make sure to get down before 10pm for cheap entry and a good spot on the dance floor!
If it's live music with soul you're after - look no further than Nick Pride and the Pimptones on May 18th. Their music is a wild fusion of jazz trumpets, funky bass and soulful harmonies that this six piece band blend into a completely unique sound. With over a decade on the scene, four albums and a heap of side projects including a bootleg jazz cut of R&B and hip hop tracks - Nick Pride and the Pimptones promise a tenacious live sound, smooth, slick melodies and a pounding phat beat.
The last Friday of the month can only mean one thing at The Night Owl - disco. Of course we're talking about Le Freak, our monumental disco, funk, soul and boogie night that has eager dancers queueing around the block! Even better, the legendary Soul Train Dance Offs are back for this month's Le Freak on May 25th. Whether you own the dance floor with your stellar moves or you're an amateur who doesn't know the funky chicken from the robot - everyone is welcome to try their hand at Soul Train and win some fabulous prizes!
The first Friday of June is kicking off with a bang as on June 1st we have none other than Fred Zeppelin playing live! Fans of classic 60s/70s rock and roll (and of course Led Zeppelin) will love this tribute band's fierce passion. 2018 marks 25 years for Fred Zeppelin - during this time they've had the honour of having Robert Plant attend three of their gigs and John Bonham's son Jason join them on stage. Tickets for this gig also includes entry into retro guitar club night Come Together - giving you even more rock & roll for your buck.
