June and July is shaping up to be unforgettable, with a host of incredible nights to put the fun into funky and kick start your weekend with soul.

This weekend is full to bursting with great music with The Heels tipping a panama hat to Jamaica, New Orleans and New York's style this Friday. Their ska, reggae, funk and soul mashups are followed by a night of 60's R&B and soul at Barefootin', throwing some forgotten gems of ska and blues in the mix for good measure.

This Saturday we'll have the incredible Big Boss Man playing live! As connoisseurs of funky soul and boogaloo, this group may as well hold the title for the tightest bongo solo you'll ever see, coming all the way from London for one unforgettable night. Come for the bongos and stay for a boogie as we'll be having a special Dig? after party until the early hours.

The next stop on our voyage of funk and soul is Souled Out 2 Funk - purveyors of the finest funk and soul. Seen as one of the most hardworking local funk and soul bands - their electric set of modern and classic party favourites (from Superstition all the way to I Need a Dollar) will keep you dancing all night on Saturday, June 16th.

We're starting July off right with Funked up Friday on July 6th with DJ Sam Redmore - a man who knows a thing or two about funk! To keep you in the swing of things, Fatlip are back by popular demand for our Dig? Funk and Soul Party on July 7th. This incredible Midlands group always play a stellar set of covers including Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding and James Brown that leaves fans wanting more!

If any of these nights are up your street, tickets to all our events can be found on The Ticket Sellers and all our events can be found on The Night Owl website
