Oasis drummer Tony McCaroll performed an Oasis track live for the first time in over 20 years right here on our stage.
As part of our 25th Anniversary of Definitely Maybe, drummer from the original album Tony McCaroll joined us for a live discussion, Q&A and signing whilst our favourite Oasis tribute Oasis Maybe played the album in full.
As the band performed 'Supersonic' (along with other Oasis hits) Tony stepped on stage and behind the kit to perform for the first time in 20 years!
The crowd were left completely stunned as Tony perfectly nailed the track, whilst the band were in awe at the fact that they performed with an original Oasis member!
“As a tribute band that was an unbelievable situation to find ourselves in. Totally unplanned and totally unrehearsed. What a legend you are Tony McCaroll, big thanks to The Night Owl for putting on the event”
Oasis Maybe wrote on Twitter.
This year marks 25 years since Definitely Maybe by Oasis was released in 1994, an album that went straight to the UK number one and sold over 2.1 million copies. Tony McCaroll, who drummed on the legendary album, hasn’t performed an Oasis track or played with a band live in over 20 years, after leaving the band after a gig in Paris in 1995.
