...And chocolate eggs. Easter is a great excuse to party (not that we ever needed one!) We're seizing the long weekend and squeezing every last drop out of it, with events on every day over the weekend. With excellent live music, themed club nights and free parties to see you through, we've got Easter sorted. Britpop fans, keep on reading as this weekend is right up your street.
As soon as work ends on the Thursday, the party begins. On March 29th we're busting out the microphones for a Karaoke party like no other! Choose your favourite pop, indie, ska, soul, disco or mod tunes to sing along to and then shake a tail feather to our resident DJ sets after. We've also got some great drinks deals including a free cocktail* on arrival before 11pm, £3 pints, £4.50 doubles and £2 shots - all for free entry! The longer you drink and dance, the longer we'll keep the party going.
On the last Friday of the month, things get freaky... it's of course Le Freak, our monthly disco, soul, funk and boogie night bringing out the inner dance gods and goddesses amongst you. On Good Friday DJ's Lee Fisher and Richard Buckley will take you to funky town with iconic 70s and 80s tracks - all you need to do is bring your moves (flares and platforms optional, but welcomed.)
On Saturday, after Oasis Maybe take us back to the days of parkas, round sunglasses and sideburns, we dig out the soul and retro jams from all eras of great music. Our weekly club night Dig? is being treated to DJs Kev Richie and Sam Redmore playing dozens of soul, northern, ska, mod, motown, indie and all around retro records all night long on March 31st. Those lucky enough to bag a ticket to Oasis Maybe get free entry into Dig? after.
If that's not enough party for one weekend - we're opening our doors on the Easter Sunday too for April Fools Gold. After playing to a rip roaring crowd at last week's March of the Mods, Marquis Drive are back for another 90s and Britpop inspired set. DJs Tommo Barnes (AKA Barnesy) and Mazzy Snape will be blasting Britpop and indie tunes for a night of 90s nostalgia.
The Night Owl is for life, not just for Easter, we have live music and quirky club nights weekly to suit anyone's music taste! Coming soon we have alternative live music and arts market Kaleidoscope on April 5th, retro guitar music night Come Together with Scooby's Tosh live on April 6th and The Jam tribute The Jam DRC on April 7th.
