Boat to Row to launch new album ‘Rivers That Flow In Circles’
October 2, 2019

We'd like to think we know a thing or two about live music...

seeing as if we've brought you some of the greatest acts including Bez & Rowetta, The Good Water, The Ska 45s, Black Mekon, Modern Literature and loads more this year alone. There's still even more live music goodness to come in 2019, we're just getting started!

We're hyped that Big Boss Man are making their long awaited return on Saturday, 28th September. The UK's premier punks of funk have been filling the world with their funky jazz fusion of beats and grooves for 21 years, and there's no stopping them yet. If you're a fan of funk and love a good bongo instrumental, don't miss this.

Bringing us into October are Heavy Sol, the perfect band for anyone who loves mod and soul classics from days gone by. They'll be partying with us on Friday, 4th October as part of club together, with DJs playing new wave, alternative, mod, soul and more until the early hours.

The following night sees the raw and raucous Backbone Slips bringing some serious soul and authentic Hammond led grooves. If you love Booker T & The MG's, Ike & Tina Tuner and Spencer Davis Group (to name but a few they cover), make sure you're on the dance floor on Saturday, 5th October!

Also to come this month are the incredible Boat to Row, celebrating their new album 'Rivers That Flow in Circles' right here! The local folk ensemble, who crowdfunded their new album throughout the summer, will be playing new tracks from the album and will celebrate alongside supports Rosie Tee and Odmansbox on Friday, October 18th.

See you down the front,

The Night Owl x
